I guess nobody from here was at the final day in Hollywood. I was there, along with a bunch of other people from bttf.com. I uploaded a few of pictures onto the gallery here. I was also amongst the few who were on the final ride as well. And I even made it onto the evening news.
It was disgustingly hot out, over 100 degrees. Everything is so overpriced at Universal. Fortunately it wasnt as crowded as I thought it would be. The heat might have kept people at home. Either way, nothing was going to keep me from going there. I bought a place ticket to fly across the country for the final BTTF ride. And it all was so worth it.
But all in all Im proud to have been on the final ride.

Alas, I just could not afford it. (And I even live in CA. *sigh* ) I really would have liked to go. :C
Thanks for posting the pics. I'll go take a look at them now. :) -

Thanks a gain for posting the photos. Looks like it was a blast. I love how folks dressed for the occasion! (And the one guy (?) actually kind of looks like Doc Brown!! )
I haven't had a chance to chat with him lately, do you know if Trevor / No Roads was there? (I couldn't read any of the signs that folks were holding up. I take it you're the one in the tank top? ) -

I probably would have gone for a tank top too!
Any idea if they'll continue to sell BTTF souvenir stuff? (T-shirts, tank tops, etc.? I'd like to get down there again someday, and get some! )
I really should go read the whole thread on the BTTF forum. I think I'll do that tom. night after I get home from work though. I have the next day off, and can take my time, and even post if I want. ;-) (One of these days I'll reach 88 posts! I think I'm currently at something like 68? )
(Just in case anyone wonders what the deleted post was, it was just a duplicate post. ) -

Re: BTTF the Ride has closed in America (Hollywood).
Wed, September 12, 2007 - 8:25 AMWell, at USH, they are NOT selling any bttf stuff. Not a thing. The store next to the ride is closed and the windows have paper on them. The store has been closed for a while, well before the ride closed.
The store is open in Orlando, even though the ride closed there in March...I know, pretty odd.
I became a member of bttf.com in 2001, and I reached 88 posts this year...yeah, I don't post that much. I started posting alot lately with the planning of the meeting and all.

I don't recall offhand when I joined. 2003? Most of my post count has come from times I've gotten Jeffrey to do "live chat" there. Funny thing is, Jeffrey joined that board sometime in 2001, I think, but he never posted until I asked him to. (He's so humble, he doesn't realize how cool people think he is. )
Sucks that the store is closed. :-( We can always hope it gets re-opened. *sigh* Chances are, though, that they will change the store to match whatever new ride gets put in it's place.
Any idea where to buy BTTF stuff other than the store in Orlando? (Yeah, I'm sure I could find stuff by Googling, but I'm being lazy right now. ;-P ) -

And there is always www.ebay.com
Im not one to get as much bttf stuff as possible, I like to keep all my items personal. Like I went to a store and found this and bought it, and that makes it cool to me.
Its so easy to go online and buy and buy and buy.
I do need to have the lenticular hat though. -

I don't really plan to get a lot of stuff. I mostly want a shirt. (Preferably a tank top. ) Although I do tend to like things like key rings and stuff. I have a Lenticular hat, somewhere... I just can't remember where I put it. :-P I have a patch. One of these days I should sew it onto something.
What store did you find your tank top at? -

Re: BTTF the Ride has closed in America (Hollywood).
Thu, September 13, 2007 - 10:05 AMHa, my tank top!
I took a Tshirt, cut the BTTF logo out, and sewed it onto a tank top. -
